We’re so excited to invite you to a truly special Brunch Book Club experience with the brilliant Louise O'Neill, celebrating her powerful new novel, Whatever Happened to Madeline Stone?.
This is not your standard book club.
We’ll begin the day online with our signature Brunch Book Club discussion, an honest, thoughtful space to unpack the book together before welcoming Louise for an exclusive live Q&A. Then, we’ll come together in person later that afternoon for a relaxed, intimate brunch at Utter Waffle in Balham with Louise joining us at the table.
It’s the best of both worlds: meaningful conversation, direct access to the author, and the chance to connect in real life with our community.
Expect bold discussion, brilliant insights, and that signature Brunch Book Club magic.
Bottomless brunch, brilliant books & beautiful conversation.
We’ll be hosting our in-person brunch at Utter Waffle, a much-loved South London spot known for its indulgent brunch menu and relaxed, stylish atmosphere.
Tucked away in the heart of Balham, Utter Waffle serves up creative, comfort-led dishes (yes, the waffles are as good as they sound), alongside excellent coffee, cocktails, and a warm, welcoming vibe making it the perfect setting to continue the conversation alongside Louise herself.
