Brunch Book Club is staying out a little later.
Introducing Brunch Book Club After Hours, our new series of intimate evening gatherings for books, drinks and conversation. First up: Switzy by Emma Cline, in collaboration with Vintage.
Join Taragh at The Anthologist on Thursday 8 October at 7pm to get properly stuck into the book over drinks and nibbles. With just 15 places, there’ll be space to hear different perspectives, share the passages that stayed with you and meet the readers around the table.
Your £25 ticket includes a copy of Switzy, a welcome cocktail or non-alcoholic alternative, nibbles, a tote bag, Swiss chocolates, a bookmark, a white rose and a discussion guide.
Come with a friend or come on your own. You can sit with us.
A TBR treat! Everyone attending will be entered into a draw to win The Girls, The Guest and Daddy by Emma Cline, courtesy of Vintage. One winner will be chosen on the night.
📩 Postal details must be sent to admin@brunchbookclub.com
The Anthologist
Set on Gresham Street in the heart of the City, The Anthologist is a stylish bar and restaurant serving seasonal food, cocktails and wine. For our first After Hours gathering, we’ll be settling in for an intimate book discussion over drinks and nibbles—a little change of scene from our usual brunch table, with the same warm welcome.
And honestly, with a name like The Anthologist, it would be rude not to bring a book.
Before you join us
Your book is included in your ticket. Direct collection is available, with optional postage and packaging charged separately.
Please read Switzy before the event; our conversation will include spoilers.
Switzy by Emma Cline
From the author of The Girls and The Guest, Switzy follows David, a retired executive travelling towards Zurich as his memory begins to fail. Visits to his daughter and an old friend become part of a final journey through the life he has lived. Moving between dark humour and emotional reckoning, Emma Cline explores memory, mortality and identity: what remains when the stories we tell about ourselves begin to slip away?
